How to update KYC in your EPF account online
If you have not yet updated the KYC in the EPF account, then definitely read this news. The Employees Provident Fund Organization has allowed subscribers to update Know Your Customers to the Employees Provident Fund (EPF). Subscribers can update KYC through EPFO’s online portal epfindia.gov.in. Please inform that if your EPF account is not KYC compliant, then EPFO can reject the claim request of the subscribers. So let us tell you the easy way through which you can update your KYC information at home through the UAN EPFO portal. For this you will need UAN.
How to update KYC online
The first is to go to the EPFO member portal. Login with username and password.
Go to the Manage option in the top menu bar.
Select the ‘KYC’ option from here.
A new page will open in which a list of different document types will be present. Fill in the expiry date in case of IFSC and passport and driving license in case of document number, name and other details as per the document such as bank details.
After this, click on ‘Save’ now.
The state of the KYC document will appear in the KYC Pending for Approval column.
Digitally approved KYC state will be visible after the documents are verified by the employer. In addition, an SMS will be received on your registered mobile number.
These documents will work for KYC
Aadhaar number, Permanent Account Number (PAN), National Population Register, Bank Account Number, Passport, Ration Card, Driving License, Election Card etc. will be used for KYC update.
If KYC is updated then you will get these benefits
If the KYC is updated, there is no problem in money transfer or withdrawal.
In addition, the claim request can also be rejected in case the bank account details are not updated.
If you have not submitted KYC documents then the EPF member will not receive any SMS alert.
